Enjoy MWIA Outdoors with 2 Weekend Events 9/25 & 9/26




Community Picnic in Northwest Park - 9/25

Friends of Northwest Park, the 4th of July Parade Divas, and MWIA have teamed up to present Picnic in the Park, a community gathering on Saturday, September 25, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Northwest Park.

People are invited to bring a picnic and drinks (sorry no glass bottles or alcohol permitted), chairs, and/OR blankets. Live music with be provided!

The event is free, but we are asking everyone to register ahead of the event due to space, parking limitations, and safety protocols.

Parking is available in the Park parking lot, on-street adjacent to the Park, and the parking lot near the baseball field on Enslow.Additional details:

  • Attendees bring their own blanket and/or chairs.

  • Attendees bring their own food & beverages (no alcohol or glass bottles permitted)

  • Portable toilets will be provided for the event.

  • While the event is outdoors, people are welcome to wear masks when appropriate physical distancing is not possible and take precautions related to Covid.

Garden Tour - 9/26


On Sunday, September 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. the Mount Washington Garden Club invites you to visit seven unique gardens. To encourage community habitat, native plants will be given to each household. Covid rules apply. Tour starts at the Mt. Washington Arboretum located at the corner of Kelly Ave and Lochlea Road. Event is sponsored by a generous grant from Lifebridge Health. To RSVP email president@mwia.org
