About Mt. Washington

Established in 1885, originally as part of Baltimore County, Mount Washington was a retreat from city life.  Mount Washington was annexed to Baltimore City in 1914. The Mount Washington Historic District was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Mount Washington homes represent a wide variety of architectural styles from the late 19th- and early 20th-century,  including Gothic Revival, Italianate, and colonial and at least two Octagon Houses.

Today this lush, green neighborhood, is home to an eclectic blend of homes, people, and pets.
