Zoning
The MWIA Zoning committee reviews projects (renovations, new developments, etc.) that will require a hearing by the Baltimore Municipal Zoning and Appeals Board (BMZA).
The Committee will research the project and, in some cases, hear directly from the applicants and seek input from the community. The committee will then make recommendations to the MWIA Board. Recommendations can include supporting the project, taking no action, or providing active opposition.
MWIA seeks to develop informed and balanced positions that focus on the greater good of the community. We recognize that the MWIA official position may conflict with the perspective of some residents. Therefore, we encourage community members to stay informed and participate in the BMZA hearing to represent the individual homeowner's viewpoint.
